Our Pastors
Josh + Tori Shelton

Both born and raised in St. Louis, we have always had a great love for this city, and this church. After many years of serving in various roles, we now lead as Senior Pastors. We’ve been married since 2000 and have four amazing children.

Our highest calling of ministry is to our marriage, and to our children— and it is an adventure! We’ll gladly help you see our imperfections to remind you— family is messy and beautiful and worth it. We believe the church is the same. It should be a place where people are welcomed and embraced—no matter what.

We’re passionate about Jesus and His relentless love. Our hearts beat for people— for healing, restoration and growth. That only comes by true relationship with Jesus. So at LifeChurch, He’s the center of everything.

We hope you’ll come and encounter Him here and feel seen and loved. It is our prayer that together, we can be an echo of hope to the world around us.

How it all began...

LifeChurch was founded in 1980, after God gave a young man a great vision to reach this city. It began under the leadership of Pastors Rick + Donna and that vision was carried out for 35 faithful years. In this new season, Pastors Rick + Donna travel both nationally and abroad, encouraging and equipping leaders and pastors around the world.

Our Beliefs

  • We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, life-giving Word of God.
  • We believe there is one, eternal, almighty, and perfect God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless life, took our place on the cross, and rose again proving His victory and giving us the gift of salvation.
  • We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and salvation we must repent of our sins, believe in Jesus Christ, and allow Him to lead us as Lord.
  • We believe that in order to live the holy and purposeful lives for which God created us, we need to be baptized in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that God wants to restore and heal us so that we can live whole in order to help others more effectively.
  • We believe in the value of the Church and the importance of believers to come together for worship, community and prayer.
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting separation from God.
  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.
